She was a featured artist on season 15 of NBC’s The Voice and recently released her full-length debut album “Little Dove”, a very special collection of songs that will find you hitting the repeat button again and again!
An in-demand session and touring guitarist, JP BURR is also one of Nashville’s best up and coming singer songwriter/artists on the rise. JP has toured with Country superstars Luke Combs and Ashley McBryde just to name a few. He’s an accomplished guitarist as well as vocalist and proof of that can be heard on a recent single release “My Condition.” His influences cross several genres of music and will be showcased in new songs set to be released this Spring and Summer.We’re so excited to have JP making his Buddy’s Place debut.
Music duo STRIKING MATCHES (Sarah Zimmerman and Justin Davis) officially formed in 2007 after meeting at a guitar class at Nashville’s Belmont University. Both first class musicians as well as gifted singers and songwriters, the duo made their public performance debut at the world famous Bluebird Café and released their debut ep in 2012! Nine of their original songs were featured in the ABC and CMT popular TV series “Nashville” during the show’s 7 seasons run. We’re excited to host this incredibly talented duo for their debut at Buddy’s Place and you do not want to miss the haunting tightly knit harmonies and musicianship of Striking Matches live on stage!
What started as a series of house concerts in 2011 has steadily grown over the years and now finds itself hosting a special residency in the Neon Steeple at Eric Church’s Chief’s on Broadway – wea are determined to hold true to a promise made to fellow music lovers that Buddy’s Place is “where you won’t hear crap!

Read Southall can sure turn a phrase. “This record is the gasoline for the love machine,” he says of his band’s new album, the exhilarating and self-titled Southall. The proud Oklahoma workingman isn’t exaggerating. The record sparks and burns with 11 crank-it-up songs that expertly combine country, rock &amp; roll, and the dust and grit of the band’s native Red Dirt scene.
But there are also glimpses of hard rock and metal, along with easygoing back-porch vibes, the result of a drastic change in the way the group formerly known as the Read Southall Band now makes music: Every member of Southall brings lyrics, melodies, and even full songs to the table. “It’s the colors of different people with different influences making music,” Southall says. “I’ve always been confident in the talents and abilities of the guys onstage with me, and I want our fans to see and hear that too. That’s why we changed our name to Southall.”
Produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan’s American Heartbreak) and recorded at Leon Russell’s iconic Church Studio in Tulsa, Southall manifests the true band album that singer Read Southall first envisioned when he released his debut, Six String Sorrow, in 2015. That was a mostly acoustic record, but Southall, the band’s fourth album, roars with raw and loud collaborative power. Reid Barber, the group’s resident metalhead, hammers his drums. Bassist Jeremee Knipp provides a brooding low end. Keys player Braxton Curliss adds both tasteful accents and off-the- rails barroom piano. And guitarists John Tyler Perry and Ryan Wellman wring wild sounds from their instruments. All of it is tied together by Southall’s scrappy, yearning voice.
“We started playing some basic straightforward rock to make the soul of the song stick out,” says Barber, who brought five songs to the recording sessions, including “By Surprise.” “That’s the song I’m most stoked about. Lyrically, it’s so big, in the whole scope of what is being talked about — this life and how we get through it.”
While Southall released three other studio albums, including their 2017 breakout Borrowed Time, the band’s namesake regards the records as just the building blocks of Southall’s future. He wrote all of those songs, including the fan favorite “Why,” just to get the train moving. Today, they’re charging ahead.
“That was my contribution: our back catalog,” Southall says. “Now, we have this steam built up and we’re rolling down the tracks, and I want the guys to all grab a shovel, load some coal, and keep us rolling.”
The six-piece has been up to the challenge. Their song “Stickin’ n Movin’,” off 2021’s For the Birds, appeared on the CBS series Fire Country, and they’ve established themselves as a band- you-need-to-playlist on the streaming services: Southall have more than 133 million streams on Spotify and more than 101 million on Apple Music, with nearly 1 million monthly listeners across all platforms.
It’s not only the success story of a band, but of a region, according to Southall, who was first inspired to write and sing country songs after having a revelation while working on a farm. “I grew up at a really cool time when country music was good in the Nineties, and I spent a lot of radio time on the tractor. So whatever was happening in country music then was in my ears,” he says. “But then Country started to change and became more about partying. That’s when I thought, ‘I could represent my people better than this.’”
To Southall, that meant writing about work, and he sells that message hard in the rambunctious “Get Busy (Till It’s Done),” a centerpiece of the album and one of its most ferocious tracks. “They say anything worth having is worth fighting for/and I know that is true,” he howls. “It’s gonna take a little time, a little grind, to get what’s coming to you.”
“My dad always said to me, ‘You’re not just going to sit there on your pockets and do nothing. That still rings true to me,” Southall says. “Work is what makes you who you are.”
For Southall the band, that work began a long time ago — and it’s about to pay off in a big way.

Ronnie Bowman
From the tender age of three, Ronnie Bowman has been performing music. Starting in a family band playing churches in North Carolina and Virginia, he eventually joined the acclaimed Bluegrass band The Lost &amp; Found. Shortly after Ronnie joined The Lonesome River Band, and became a participant in the band’s recording of Carrying the Tradition, which was ultimately named International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) Album of the Year in 1991.
It wasn&#8217;t long before Ronnie Bowman became a household name in the Bluegrass community. With the release of an additional four albums as a member of the Lonesome River Band, Ronnie also recorded four solo projects. He has been awarded IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year three times, has twice earned the IBMA Song of the Year award and was awarded the Gospel Performance of the Year award for &#8220;Three Rusty Nails&#8221;. As a songwriter Ronnie has earned a great deal of respect not only among Bluegrass professionals, but also in Country Music. Both Brooks &amp; Dunn, and Kenny Chesney have brought Ronnie Bowman originals to #1, and Lee Ann Womack also included a song by Ronnie on the multi-platinum selling album &#8220;I Hope You Dance&#8221;.
He has seen continued songwriting success with three songs on Chris Stapleton&#8217;s multi-platinum selling album, Traveller. The single &#8220;Nobody To Blame&#8221; won Ronnie the ACM &#8220;Song of the Year,” while the album received the ACM and CMA &#8220;Album of the Year&#8221; award as well as a Grammy for &#8220;Country Album of the Year&#8221;.
As a vocalist, Ronnie has recorded with various artists including, Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Ann Womack, Del McCoury, Chris Stapleton, and John Fogerty to name a few. When Ronnie’s not on the road performing, he resides in Nashville,TN where he’s still writing songs and living the life.
Kevin MaC
Songwriter, artist and entrepreneur Kevin MaC jump-started his music career in 2014 with an L.A. publishing deal. Kevin has since honed his craft, and his performance skills, having since written with legendary Nashville hit-makers Keith Stegall and Buddy Cannon, Grammy award-winning songwriters Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lower and even with “young blood” tunesmiths who’ve penned hits for Zac Brown Band, Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. Kevin has shared the stage with a variety of artists, including Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins, Rascal Flatts, Kip Moore, and The Band Perry.
The ever-evolving MaC is the co-founder of Tik Pik (“the pick that sticks” as seen on Shark Tank) as well as Elsie Marshall Shotgun Granny Whiskey and hosts a bi-weekly songwriters round at Eric Church’s new venue, Chief’s On Broadway.

John PayCheck, son of country music legend Johnny PayCheck, embodies tradition while forging his own path in the industry. He grew up surrounded by legends, with music ingrained in his everyday life. John’s musical journey began humbly as a roadie and grew to tour manager, where he learned about the business while traveling with his father.
Two major events diverted him from music temporarily: his father&#8217;s passing in 2003 led him to explore other passions in firefighting and technology, and the events of 9/11 spurred him to serve his country as an Army aviator and Defense Department officer. John still serves as a Reserve Army Officer in Europe. Despite his hiatus, music remained a constant thread in his life, drawing him back after 20 years.
As a combat veteran, farmer, and devoted family man, John’s return to music was fueled by industry support and the encouragement of fellow country music legacy kids. A CMA member and BMI songwriter, his first single “Lone Stars” charted on radio, a significant milestone in his career. With a unique vocal style and deep-rooted appreciation for classic country, he continues his family&#8217;s legacy while embracing the genre&#8217;s evolution. As the next generation of PayCheck emerges, John stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of country music and the profound bond with his father.
He has been invited to perform at the Grand Ol Opry and has shared the stage with Chris Janson, Confederate Railroad, Dallas Moore and others. John has written with Erin Enderlin, Scott Gabbey, among others. John is building his own career despite the shadow of his father&#8217;s and who knows what the future holds; but it is exciting to see and be a part of.

Brassfield
Brassfield is a Country vocal trio based in Nashville consisting of brothers Bradley and Chadley Brassfield, and Chadley’s wife, Jessie Rose Brassfield. It’s a family affair for sure that makes for airtight three-part harmonies and a stellar vocal blend.
Musical roots run deep for all of them. The brothers were born in Tupelo, Mississippi, where music is certainly a way of life. In the Brassfield bloodline, being a great singer is commonplace and the boys are no exception to this phenomenon. Growing up, they toured the southern US playing and singing in churches, fell in love with being on stage, and knew that they wanted to continue their career together in Nashville. That’s where they met Jessie Rose.
Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Jessie has spent her whole life in a musical bubble. She’s been a happy student of music from the start and the love and curiosity spreads across all genres. She’s been singing, playing piano, and writing songs for as long as she can remember. Jessie comes from a long line of professional singers/musicians/writers, her dad being JP Pennington of the country hit-making group Exile.
Following in his footsteps, she moved to Nashville to pursue country music, met the boys, the stars aligned, and two very important things happened. Jessie and Chadley fell in love, and the trio discovered that their three unique voices came together to form a killer vocal blend.
The rest is history. This in-demand trio performs all the time, sometimes 7 days a week. They are the house band for The Opry Backstage Grill, where they host a hit songwriters night that has put them on the stage with many of country music’s most prolific songwriters. All three members of BRASSFIELD are songwriters themselves and are excited to be in the studio, recording a full length album of songs that truly represent their distinctive artistry.

Rick Huckaby
Rick Huckaby or “Huck” as he is often referred to, is a Nashville singer, songwriter and guitarist. His sound is unlike anyone in country music, combining influences as rare as Daryl Hall, Bonnie Raitt, Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap and Keith Whitley. Huck moved to Nashville in 1996 and in 1998 landed a dream gig as the acoustic guitar player for country music superstar Tracy Lawrence.
In 2007 Huck and his brother Andy formed the independent record and publishing company Head Coach Music in honor of their father who passed away in 2006. Huck was finally able to release his debut album “Call Me Huck” (2008) which received significant critical acclaim as well as “Hittin’ My Stride” (2009) and “Pistols &amp; Diamonds” (2013).While touring and promoting his music to radio, Huck wrote the Top 20 single “Muddy Water” for Trace Adkins and the Top 20 single for Thomas Rhett “Beer with Jesus”.
Huck has penned over 30 songs for Tracy Lawrence as well as major album cuts for Trace Adkins, Craig Morgan, Frankie Ballard and Gov&#8217;t Mule. He also enjoys playing with his Nashville based blues band, Big Shoes.

Kayce  
Native To Nashville, Kayce’s music roots run were sure to run deep. Her great grandfather was in the house band of the Grand Ole Opry in it its very early days and had his own radio show!  When she was 4, she sang a little solo at her home church. After the service, Patsy Cline’s daughter, Julie, told her parents she better keep singing, and she has done just that!
At 12, she began singing children’s demo’s and honing in on her craft and sound. When she was 15, she was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music where she studied jazz voice. Eventually she came back home to Nashville and has been doing what she loves ever since! She was influenced at a young age by Patsy Cline of course but loves the styles of Norah Jones, Peggy Lee and Stevie Nicks, just to name a few. Kayce adds her love of jazz, blues, and the classics with the country styles of her roots to create her unique sound. Currently, Kayce performs around town, writes, and records as much as she can.

Honoring the man and his music Waymore’s Outlaws consists of former members of Waylon Jennings recording and touring band, The Waylors, including Jerry “Jigger” Bridges on bass, Barny Robertson on keys, Carter Robertson on vocals, Jeff Hale on drums and steel guitarist Fred Newell. Collectively, the band performed on the recordings of Waylon’s megahits such as “I Ain’t Living Long Like This,” the Dukes of Hazzard “Good Ol’ Boys” theme, “Luckenbach Texas” and “Rainy Day Woman,” as well as countless other gold and platinum hits. Lead guitarist and singer Tommy Townsend adds to their mix of Outlaw music. Waymore’s Outlaws are keeping the spirit of Waylon Jennings and his music alive today.
Jerry “Jigger” Bridges, who spent a little over two decades out on the road with Waylon, plays bass for Waymore’s Outlaws. A native of Red Bay, Alabama, Jigger was strongly influenced by the R&amp;B emerging from nearby Muscle Shoals. Following a four-year stint as a staff musician at FAME Recording Studio, he moved to Nashville and began working with Waylon on the “Dukes of Hazzard” soundtrack. After his contributing bass work on Waylon’s Greatest Hits album, Richie and Waylon asked Jigger to join The Waylors on the road. GRAMMY Award-winning producer, arranger, and engineer Barny Robertson played keys for Waylon for many years and has produced and arranged over 50 albums. As an in-demand session player, he received the “Nashville Super Picker Award.” He has been nominated for three Dove Awards and in 1992 won a Grammy Award for producing “A Cappella Kids.” Instantly recognizable artist and vocalist 
Carter Robertson holds the distinction of being the only female member of Waylon’s band. She backed up both Waylon and his wife, Jessi Colter, on stage and in the studio. Her recording credits include Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Don Was and many others.
Fred Newell is a veteran of the Nashville studio scene who has recorded with everyone from Ray Charles to George Strait. In addition to being the staff lead guitarist on numerous TV shows, he is respected worldwide for his ability to generate feeling and sounds out of his instruments that many struggle to emulate. The first country guitarist to ever receive an endorsement from Marshall Amplifiers, Newell is a guitar legend in many circles. Fred joined Waylon’s touring band on pedal steel during the 90s after the late and legendary Ralph Mooney retired from the road.
Jeff Hale has immense touring and recording experience. While playing drums in the lounges of Memphis and attending Memphis State University, Jeff began touring and recording with Tony Joe White after Tony heard some demo recordings Jeff did with Stax Records. The songwriting connection between Tony Joe White and Waylon led to Waylon making Jeff a permanent fixture in his band, where he spent the next fourteen years honing his skills and learning every aspect of the music business from the undisputed “rebel” of outlaw country music. Jeff received recognition from Modern Drummer magazine for “Best Country Drummer” and through the years has shared the stage with many artists.
Tommy Townsend, the band’s lead guitarist and singer, is a native of Blairsville, Georgia. Waylon was a pivotal force in Townsend’s life, as Tommy had the distinction of being mentored by Waylon in his youth. The two collaborated several times over the years, with Waylon playing guitar and singing harmony on some tracks and co-producing an album on Tommy with Jerry Bridges. Waylon and his band took Tommy under their wings recording in the studio and occasionally out for appearances on the road. As a songwriter, Tommy co-wrote three of the songs on Waymore’s Outlaws CD, Same Ol’ Outlaws, which was the first of three albums released by the band.
No biography about Waylon Jennings or any of his band configurations is compete without mentioning the late Richie Albright. Waylon’s original drummer, longtime friend, and right-hand man joined Waylon and The Waylors in 1964, and he was the steadfast drummer for Waymore’s Outlaws until his passing in 2021. Richie not only toured and recorded with Waylon for decades but produced or co-produced many of Waylon’s records that are still being played on radio today. In the world of country music Richie not only made history as a drummer, songwriter, and producer, he was immortalized in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Nashville Cats exhibit in 2019. The list of artists he played and/or recorded with is a long one, including Jessi Colter, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr, Tony Joe White, and Goose Creek Symphony.

Sunny Sweeney
A brassy country singer whose retro style garnered comparisons to singers like Natalie Maines and Kasey Chambers, Sunny Sweeney is a native Texan, possessed of an expressive reedy contralto; it is perfectly suited for everything from Honky Tonk to Country Rock to Bluegrass as evidenced by her 2006 debut, Heartbreaker&#8217;s Hall of Fame. 2011&#8217;s Concrete placed at 21 on the Top 200. 2014&#8217;s Provoked was a rootsier honky tonk set that cracked the top 200 and the country albums Top 20. 2017&#8217;s Trophy was more introspective and moody; it placed high on the folk and indie charts. In 2019, Bob Seger personally invited her to open his farewell tour.
The genre-bending, songwriting spitfire who has spent equal time in the rich musical traditions of Texas and Tennessee, returns with Married Alone, the celebrated singer-songwriter’s fifth studio album and the follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed Trophy. Co-produced by beloved Texas musician and larger-than-life personality Paul Cauthen and the Texas Gentlemen’s multi-hyphenate Beau Bedford, Married Alone is Sweeney’s finest work yet, bringing together confessional songwriting, image-rich narratives and no shortage of sonic surprises for a loosely conceptual album about loss and healing.
Married Alone began as most of Sweeney’s projects do: with a visit to her deep vault of unreleased songs. Since debuting with Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame in 2006, Sweeney has been a prolific writer, writing whatever is on her heart rather than with a particular project in mind. That habit afforded her a rich well of material for Married Alone, some of which is over a decade old.
“I have a lot of older songs that still make the cut of like, ‘Am I gonna put this on a record?’ And I always start with those songs, songs that have been important to me for whatever reason. And then I try to build around that. It doesn&#8217;t necessarily have to be around a theme, but sometimes it turns out to be that there is one.”
Opener “Tie Me Up” declares that, despite its loose theme, Married Alone is not a somber record, with Sweeney in full spitfire mode and cheekily declaring to a would-be suitor, “You can tie me up, but baby you can’t tie me down.”
Cauthen joins Sweeney on “A Song Can’t Fix Everything,” one of the album’s rawer moments. “That song can’t bring my mother back to life,” Sweeney sings at the song’s start, before recounting the many ways that music may be able to transport us to the past but can never fix it. “Easy as Hello” is Sweeney’s writing at its finest, channeling the heartache that comes with the end of a treasured relationship, for a track that recalls — vocally and lyrically — the work of Stevie Nicks.
“Someday You’ll Call My Name” reads as a break-up kiss-off — and it’s a great one, at that — but the song, pulled from Sweeney’s vault, was originally inspired by her early days as a musician, longing to be recognized by major country institutions like the Grand Ole Opry. She and co-writer Brennen Leigh reworked their 10-year-old version of the track to better fit Married Alone, and that session helped set the tone for what would become the full album.
The full potential of the album really revealed itself, though, when a friend sent Sweeney a demo of what would become its title track, “Married Alone.” Though she wasn’t a co-writer on the track, Sweeney felt her own story reflected in its lyrics. The song, which features a particularly emotional guest vocal from living country legend Vince Gill, charts the painful moments sometimes experienced in marriages that have run their course.
“My jaw hit the floor when I heard that song, because I had just gone through my second divorce, which is also cliche of a country singer,” Sweeney says, with a laugh. “I was still pretty raw about my divorce, but also very candid and trying to find levity in the situation. You have to be able to laugh at yourself at some point and not let it just totally get you down.”
A few months after securing the song and mining her own vault for a track list, Sweeney traveled to Dallas, TX, to record — alongside Cauthen and Bedford — what would become Married Alone.
Sweeney and team planned for Jeff Saenz to mix the album, but in the summer of 2021 — a few days before mixing would start — the widely loved, Dallas-based producer was electrocuted in a freak accident that left him without use of his arms. The group put the album on hold until they had word Saenz would pull through. While Sweeney was anxious to get her new music out, Saenz’s accident shifted her priorities.
“Jeff lost his arms,” she says. “His arms. Jeff’s never going to hold his fiancée’s hand again, never going to hold his baby again. I had a major, major turning point with his accident, personally, as did most of our friends that know him.”
About eight months later, Bedford had a surprise for Sweeney. When she arrived at the studio for one of their final mixing sessions, Bedford had brought Saenz along. Saenz was able to help the group finish up the album, a full-circle moment that was especially emotional for Sweeney.
“It was exactly how it should have been,” she says. “And it was really, really emotional. Jeff definitely is a part of this album; I really wanted him to be a part of the album. And Beau knew that. So, Beau went and he made that happen.”
In addition to releasing Married Alone, Sweeney is marking a new chapter in her professional life with a brand-new team by her side, most of whom are women. While it wasn’t a conscious choice, Sweeney says, she feels like she’s surrounded by the right group of people, who just happen to be “badass women.”
Like the narrator of “Someday You’ll Call My Name,” Sweeney is not the kind of artist you come across then forget. With Married Alone, she further cements her status as one of country music’s finest storytellers.

Kelly Willis
On some other plane out there in the great big multiverse, Kelly Willis could well be the biggest Nashville country music star of the last 35 years. But things panned out rather differently for her here on this Earth. The Oklahoma-born Army brat was barely into her early 20s and still cutting her teeth fronting a spunky rockabilly band in Austin when a “check-this-kid-out” tip from Texas songwriter Nanci Griffith landed her on the radar of producer Tony Brown, who promptly signed her to MCA Records. How exactly her auspicious fireball of a debut, 1990’s Well Travelled Love, and even a plumb spot on the soundtrack to the following year’s Thelma &amp; Louise, somehow failed to burn Willis’ name and voice into the mainstream consciousness remains a bone of bumfuzzlement for many a fan and critic to this day, but suffice it to say — Willis was still in her early 20s when MCA dropped her just two albums later.
And that, perhaps goes the Kelly Willis story in yet another alternate universe, was that. But lucky again for all of us here in this reality, “our” Kelly Willis was just getting started. Liberated from the Nashville playbook and emboldened by a jolting shot of nothing-left-to-lose, she set about making her next record in Austin her way. The end result, 1999’s aptly-titled What I Deserve, changed everything. “A big part of making that record was me thinking, ‘I’ll probably never get to make another one after this, so if this has to be my swan song, I’m not going to compromise,’” she says today. “That was a really big sea change for me to take the reins like that, and it was incredibly satisfying and gratifying that it then found a home with [independent label] Ryko and did so well. It was a pivotal moment that fueled the rest of my career.”
A bracingly assertive showcase not just for Willis’ masterful control of her “enormous voice” (per noted “Consumer’s Guide” critic Robert Christgau) but also for her burgeoning songwriting chops (be it solo or collaborating with the likes of John Leventhal and the Jayhawks’ Gary Louris), What I Deserve may not have made Kelly a household name on the order of Shania, Faith, or Reba, but it clinched her standing as a bona fide darling of the national (and international) alt-country scene. Writers from No Depression to Rolling Stone cheered her “comeback,” and fans in her adopted hometown voted it “Album of the Year” in the Austin Music Awards. A decade later would find her inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame.
The six albums Willis has made since What I Deserve have only burnished her reputation as Austin’s reigning queen of Americana. Three of those albums, including 2019’s Beautiful Lie, were duo records made with her now ex-husband, fellow singer-songwriter Bruce Robison — who also produced Willis’ last solo album, 2018’s “richly satisfying” (NPR) Back Being Blue. The couple (who in addition to recording and touring together for years also raised four children together) announced their separation in early 2022, marking both the end of an era and the beginning of yet another “big sea change” for Willis. Looking ahead to the next stage of her life and career, she admits that the whole business of “starting over” — especially musically — can be scary, but she’s starting to get the hang of it
“I’m usually a few-and-far-between kind of person when it comes to writing, but I’ve been writing a lot,” she says with a laugh. “So I’m in the creative phase of figuring out a new album, which of course is going to be a ‘divorce record,’ because there’s no getting around those things. But I think there’s a lot of hopeful stuff in there, too, and there’s the potential there for it to be really good. So, I do feel like I’m going to be ok.”
Willis says she hopes to have that new record out sometime next year, along with another project she’s been teasing of late: A 25th (!) anniversary re-release of What I Deserve, expanded with bonus demo tracks and maybe even a vintage live show — along with the album’s first-ever pressing on vinyl. But in the mean time, she’s happy just to be playing shows again post pandemic shutdown, connecting with fans old and new both as a full-time “solo” artist again for the first time in years, and as one-third of her favorite new joyride — a not-just-a-song-swap trio with her sister soulmates Brennen Leigh and Melissa Carper.
“We started that a year ago, thinking we were just going to do a small run of shows together, but the shows went over so well that we just kept going,” she enthuses. “We’ve already played a few places outside of Texas, and this year we’re going all the way up to the North East together and then out West. And we’ve even talked about writing together. The whole thing has just been amazing and super fun. I’m loving it!”
And deservedly so.

The band dresses 70s, speaks as if it is still the 70s, and interacts with the audience throughout the show without breaking character from start to finish. Thomas Csorba
Thomas Csorba is getting to the good part. On his 2024 album, Windchimes, he delves into the slow, reflective and “at-home” nature of starting a family as well as the hopes and fears you encounter along the way. Windchimes unfolds as an exploration of life&#8217;s seasons, a delicate dance through the past, present, future and the tension that arises as you navigate through it all.
The album, produced by Robert Ellis &amp; Josh Block, was recorded almost entirely live and in one room. The production is classic and simple which allows Csorba&#8217;s introspective songwriting and warm vocal performances to remain the focal point. While the recording is built around acoustic guitar, upright bass, and drums, the instrumentation isn&#8217;t without surprises &#8211; pedal steel, mandolin, saxophone, flute (and yes, chimes) all weave deftly into the tapestry of Windchimes. The musicians’ performances are so stellar they feel effortless and create the perfect space for these songs to exist in.
With Windchimes, the 26 year old has found a voice that is wise, playful, and only getting better. It&#8217;s true that the path to success for an artist is steep and riddled with pitfalls, but if this album is any indication, Thomas Csorba is ready to dig his heels in and keep rolling the rock up the hill.

Kiely Connell
Kiely Connell is a Nashville, Tennessee transplant with rustbelt roots. Hailing from Hammond, Indiana just four houses down from the Illinois state line, Kiely draws inspiration from the hardworking people of her native Midwest community. As one of her peers put it: “Kiely’s songs walk a tightrope, planting each step equally with both the grace at the heart of folk music, and the steadfast confidence of an experienced rock and roll soul&#8221;.
In a time when most country and Americana artists are forging a similar path, Kiely takes fans on a different journey to unknown places—sonically, and emotionally. She writes songs that have a gothic western aesthetic, a blend of somber poetry and western melodies delivered with her rich and brooding voice.
Her voice merges gritty blues with an ethereal upper register, leaving audiences comparing her to the likes of Patsy Cline, Joan Baez, and Joni Mitchell. Kiely&#8217;s incomparable voice, and her poetic storytelling truly make her an Americana artist to watch.
Her new album, My Own Company, release via Thirty Tigers last June has received rave reviews from No Depression, Saving Country Music, Roots Highway and Glide Magazine.

Stephanie Lambring
Born and raised in Indiana, Stephanie Lambring got her start as a songwriter on Nashville’s Music Row, but after five years of composing for other artists, she walked away from the music business entirely until legendary songwriter Tom Douglas encouraged her to return to her craft, this time for herself. Lambring’s debut as an artist, 2020’s Autonomy, was a critical smash, prompting Rolling Stone to hail her “John Prine-esque observation” and NPR to declare her “one of Nashville’s most fearless young singer-songwriters.” In addition to all the rave reviews, the album helped earn performances everywhere from Mountain Stage to the famed Bluebird Cafe, and led to an extensive US tour with Amigo The Devil.
Lambring’s much-anticipated follow-up, Hypocrite, is an even more remarkable work of self-reflection, one that finds comfort in facing the uncomfortable head-on. The arrangements are lush and hypnotic, with Lambring’s breathy vocals floating atop a sea of dreamy synthesizers and shimmering guitars, and the writing is as raw and vulnerable as it gets, confronting everything from religion and trauma to body image and motherhood with unflinching honesty. Modern American eclectic singer-songwriter Bryan Simpson is an artist whose sound unnervingly explores an evocative amalgamation of southern folk, bluegrass, classic country and indie eclecticism, with the playful swagger, relatable storytelling, and thoughtful introspection of his heroes which include John Hartford, Tom T Hall, Jeff Tweedy, and of course Bob Dylan.
Bryan’s songs have netted praise from all corners: The Huffington Post wrote “Bryan’s original undertakings are reminiscent of the whimsical and whip-smart work by David Byrne and Jim James”. While SeattlePi claims Simpson’s music echoes “Bowie, and Beck in the melodies, moods, and arrangements. The quest is entertaining and thought-provoking.” His genre-spanning career has included making records and touring as a singer/songwriter with luminaries as diverse as The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, bluegrass giant Ricky Skaggs and Mumford and Sons. Since leaving his hometown of Ft Worth Texas with only a fiddle, guitar, mandolin and a box fan to his name, Simpson has had many of his original songs recorded by country music standouts like Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Hailey Whitters, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Brandy Clark, Old Dominion, Stephen Wilson Jr., with several of them ending up with a number 1 beside their name on the Billboard and Music Row charts . He has also been awarded NSAI’s prestigious award of “10 Songs I wish I’d Written”. His songs have easily totaled over 500 million streams at this point.
This year Simpson released his first record under his own name. “The Oldest”, released in April, is a concise 11 songs in length, produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan/Brandi Carlisle) and takes Simpson’s shade tree kaleidoscopic storytelling center stage.

Mae Estes
Mae Estes got her start at age 7 in the middle of a rodeo arena, singing the national anthem and the Hope, Arkansas native hasn’t stopped singing since. Paying dues in Music City for nearly a decade, she’s now stacked with stories to tell. In 2019, Estes began releasing music and signed her first publishing deal with Plaid Flag Music in 2020. She’s since racked up more than 13 million streams across platforms and over 1M views on YouTube, independently and organically building a quickly-growing fan base with her “plain-spoken truth” (The Boot).

Born and raised in Tennessee, Gabe Dixon is a Nashville based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Since he first emerged in 1999, he has been penning honest and heartfelt songs that continue to garner fans and crowds across the globe. Gabe&#8217;s songs have been covered by many; Garth Brooks, Parachute, Ben Rector, and Erin McCarley to name a few. A native of Marshall, Texas and raised on sounds of artists such as Keith Whitley, Tom T. Hall, and The Statler Brothers, Jeff Hyde moved to Nashville to pursue music in 2001. The momentum keeps building for <a href="https://x.com/_kaitlyncroker">Nashville-based recording artist Kaitlyn Croker</a>. Consider that in 2024 alone she not only opened for Country superstar Cole Swindell and did the same for an event featuring Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes), but, she performed at both the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival and the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival. If all that wasn’t enough, the singer, songwriter, guitar player did a meet-and-greet at CMA Fest and made three trips to Georgia to perform at Camp Southern Ground, a facility founded by country superstar Zac Brown.
The rapid ascent continues for Croker following past performances that have included opening for Todd Tilghman (“The Voice” season 18 winner), Rhonda Vincent (“The Queen of Bluegrass”), and 90&#8217;s country hit band, Shenandoah. Along the way she has performed at notable venues and events including the prestigious Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville, the Johnny Cash Farm, and the fabled FloraBama.

Songwriter, artist and entrepreneur Kevin jump-started his music career in 2014 with an L.A. publishing deal. Kevin has since honed his craft, and his performance skills, having since written with legendary Nashville hit-makers Keith Stegall and Buddy Cannon,Grammy award-winning songwriters Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lower and even with “young blood” tunesmiths who’ve penned hits for Zac Brown Band, Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. Kevin has shared the stage with a variety of artists, including Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins, Rascal Flatts, Kip Moore, and The Band Perry.
The ever-evolving MaC is the co-founder of Tik Pik (“the pick that sticks” as seen on Shark Tank) as well as Elsie Marshall Shotgun Granny Whiskey and hosts a monthly songwriters round at Eric Church’s new venue, Chief’s On Broadway.

Mark Irwin
Mark Irwinoved from the Northeast to Nashville to pursue his dream of songwriting in 1987. Soon after, Mark landed his first cut, the Christmas song “Meet Me Under The Mistletoe” recorded by Randy Travis, and years later, recorded again by Hailey Whitters. Mark then went on to co-write Alan Jackson’s first number one hit “Here In The Real World,” a two-time CMA Song of the Year nominee, ACM Song of the Year nominee and winner of the Music City News Award for Song of the Year 1990. Mark has co-written three other number-one country singles including “Redneck Crazy” (Tyler Farr), “Highway Don’t Care” [Tim McGraw (featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban)], and “Neon Light” (Blake Shelton). Other notable releases include “Looking For That Girl” (Tim McGraw), “New Friends” (Lainey Wilson), “Bama Breeze” (Jimmy Buffett), “That’s How They Do It In Dixie” (Hank Williams Jr.), as well as cuts from Martina McBride, Faith Hill, George Jones, and more. Additionally, as a former bartender at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Café, Mark is featured prominently in the documentary Bluebird alongside Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, and more.

Adam Wood
Adam Wood is a Nashville-based songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and seasoned vocalist. Raised in the world-renowned, musically rich Muscle Shoals area, Adam is a skillful musician with cuts and production credit on some of Nashville’s finest up-and-coming acts, as well as veteran stars.
Signed to a co-venture with frequent collaborator and top country artist Lee Brice, Wood is known for his ability to walk the line between raw, tangible real-life experience and the commercial market. Adam co-wrote 3 tracks on Brice’s most recent album; “More Beer”, “If You”, and the title track “Hey World.”
His songs have also been recorded by Trace Adkins, Lonestar, Elvie Shane, Mo Pitney, William Michael Morgan,Tyler Braden, Scotty McCreery, Derek Austin, Delta Rae, Smithfield &amp; more.

In her new one-woman show, Natalie Hemby will take you through her journey from a little girl with a love for her grandfather and his guitar, to becoming one of Nashville&#8217;s most beloved and successful songwriters. “The Truth About A Song” tells the stories behind some of your favorite songs and the artists who&#8217;ve helped bring them to life. Weaving her wit, humor and uncanny storytelling into an evening of song, this is a must-see night of entertainment.
Since signing her first publishing deal at 19, Nashville’s Natalie Hemby has penned countless hit songs recorded by artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Dierks Bentley, Yola, Lady A and Little Big Town to name a few.
A two-time GRAMMY winner, Hemby has also been recognized by the ACM, CMA, CMT and NSAI Awards for her prodigious and versatile contributions to songwriting.
