About Rodney Scott
Rodney Scott got his start in his family’s South Carolina barbecue joint at just eleven years old. By the age of 17, he was working full-time at the restaurant, and by 2011 he was running the operation, 2011, opening the second location in Charleston, SC, in 2017. In 2018, Scott was named Best Chef: Southeast by the James Beard Foundation, the second pitmaster ever to win a James Beard chef award. Over the next few years, he opened locations in Birmingham and Atlanta. This will be his first restaurant in Tennessee and the first-ever James Beard Chef and walk-up window to Broadway.
