Clifford Ray

My name is Clifford Ray and music is my home! I have had the pleasure of journeying down this path since I was eight years old and have a rich musical heritage going back many generations. It gives me inspiration that many of my family members have traveled a similar path.

I grew up playing in a small country church that my family pastored and without them and God, I would not be where I am today in my life or music. I’m a multi-instrumentalist but I specialize in singing from the piano and engaging the audience in a way that is creative, sonically pleasing, and even humorous at times. I perform anything from Gospel to R&B, Country, Jazz, Pop, Bluegrass, Soul, and anything else I can put my spin on! I am a songwriter first, so I try to convey my original music and the covers I perform as authentically as I can.

I was born in Louisiana and raised in West Tennessee but everything clicked for me when I moved to Nashville in January of 2023. That is truly where I believe my gifts started to transcend as an artist and creatively. It wasn’t long before I found my niche and was blessed to perform for the likes of Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Mark Cash, Martina McBride, and many other successful pillars of the music community.

I’ve had the pleasure to work with so many talented artists along the way and it encourages me to keep going on the tougher days. The greatest gift of all was within two weeks of living in Nashville I met my now wife Emily while I was performing and when she asked to sing with me and she opened her mouth to sing I knew right then I would marry her. We traveled all over in 2023 playing and singing in some of the most iconic places in Nashville and abroad and my greatest joy is being able to create and perform music with the love of my life.

My story is still being written but I am so blessed with how music has given me life!
